Fall

  • The semester begins during the Roman summer, which ends at the end of September. It will be very hot during the first several weeks. Most homes do not have air conditioning, so take this into account as well.

  • At some point in October, the weather will begin to change, bringing with it the rains.

  • November will be wet and can be cold as well.

Spring

  • January and February will be cold, with temperatures just above freezing. Rain is possible as well. Keep in mind that Italians keep their homes and offices at a generally much cooler temperature than Americans.

  • March and April will be warmer, but it will not get hot before the end of May.
